Currently serving as Executive Director
of Ketchcom Development, Inc., Eric Paul Engel has provided organizational
learning and communication development services for over a decade to private,
government, and non-profit organizations, including the Pentagon's Information
Technology Agency, Purdue University, and the University of Missouri.
A prolific writer and orator, he has facilitated over 750 workshops, seminars,

As a Senior Instructional Systems Consultant,
Mr. Engel provided organizational development, training, and communication
consulting to the Army's Information Technology Agency at the Pentagon.
His responsibilities spanned the instructional development process from
initial needs assessment and design through facilitation and feedback
analysis. During his tenure at the Pentagon, Mr. Engel facilitated over
50 workshops with over 500 attendees, consistently securing client satisfaction
ratings of over 95%. The workshops addressed organizational culture principles
including customer service, interpersonal communication, teamwork, cooperation,
meetings, feedback, empowerment, entrepreneurship, risk, integrity, and
contracts.
While employed as a graduate Communication
instructor at Purdue University and the University of Missouri, Mr. Engel
taught over 400 students basic communication theory and practice, including
interpersonal communication, small group dynamics, public speaking, mass
media analysis, computer-mediated communication, and cultural communication.
His research has been presented at a national Communication conference
and can be found in several peer-reviewed applied communication anthologies.
Mr. Engel gained further organizational
development experience as a training specialist for a small software development
firm where he instructed over 250 clients in major media markets (including
New York, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, and Atlanta) on how to
strategically deploy proprietary online publishing software as a community
development and media marketing tool. As Manager of Organizational Development
for filefrenzy.com (and later Arsenal Digital Solutions Worldwide), Mr.
Engel conceived and coordinated an organizational "Culture Council"
(a representative body established to facilitate employee relations, organizational
communication, and organizational development by addressing corporate
culture, values, and vision).
Mr. Engel attended Purdue University where
he earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication with a concentration
in Organizational Communication, as well as the University of Virginia
where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric & Communication.
Additionally, Mr. Engel is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
administrator concentrating on the application of type in professional
and organizational development. Mr. Engel is also a member of the National
Communication Association (NCA).
